Water

i am (as you now know) an environment freak. one of the things i hate most is water pollution. probably a result of living, first by a bay, then by the Mississippi, and then by the ocean. anyway it makes me really mad when people just throw their trash in the ocean.

Grass

i am slightly obsessed with grass. its another freak thing. my lawn has tons of crabgrass. i think it should stay. after all it is a part of our natural environment. my parents think that it should go. it looks bad. my parents aren't really shallow. we just live in an upscale neighborhood. everybody else who lives there freaks out if their lawn starts looking like it might need a trim within the next two months. ALL the time. unfortunately for me this means if i want the crabgrass to stay... i mow.

environment

anyone can tell you i am obsessed with nature. mainly preserving our natural environment. dont kill snakes (or allow your cat too), dont litter, dont destroy forests. that kinda stuff. of course i tell this to people. and this is the reaction i get. if you dont want to kill the crabgrass, mow the lawn!!! (my mom) so what if he chews on it, its just a stupid snake. (my friend, i later found out the snake was fake. i was not aware of that at the time. ohh it was her cat doing the chewing.) ooookkkk, sure, ITS A BUSH!!!! IT DOESNT CARE IF I HIT IT!!!!!!! (my brother) but i still do it. im wondering why...

Youre nuts!!!!!!! (everybody i know)

Nature

this is sort of about my summer and what we do. and then, its sort of not. we have a cabin in the woods. we have all the amenity's. running water(inside!!), electricity, and a phone. this comes complete with bare stud and plywood walls( no insulation for those of you who are not construction freaks) and no heat or air conditioning. i totally love it. we've been going there for like 8 years so im used to it. but this summer i got kind of bored. your choices for entertainment are reading, hiking and swimming. so i started thinking. oops. now i wonder why that is called nature when everybody in America lives in the suburbs in a nice house. im still trying to figure that one out.
